LONDON Emma Bunton one-fifth of everyone’s favourite girlband the Spice Girls amazed a super-fan with a cake and blooms to help her celebrate her “cancerversary.”
Sophie Belcher, 25, was having afternoon tea with a close friend to celebrate overcoming cancer 20 years after her first diagnosis.
Little did she know, however, that her childhood hero Emma Bunton a.k.a. Baby Spice was there to surprise her with a cake and flowers.
Belcher who lives in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was 5 years old. During her therapy she insisted on wearing her beloved Spice Girls clothes throughout her time in hospital.
“All my 5-year-old dreams have come true I came here under the pretence of an afternoon tea, and Baby Spice only seemed! I didnt have a clue “whats going on” and gratifying her was amazing, ” Belcher said in a statement emailed to Mashable .
“When I was going through treatment when I was 5, I loved everything that the Spice Girls were about. I used to dress as different Spice Girls each time I had therapy it genuinely helped at the time and session Emma has been such a positive gala of my 20 -year cancerversary, ” Belcher continued.
